Karen Harris is a Mindfulness Teacher, teaching compassionate mindfulness techniques to those living with stress, long term health conditions, chronic pain, anxiety, and depression. Karen trained with the Breathworks organization and teaches both the Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness for Stress 8 week courses to individuals, as well offering her own, 4 week, Introduction to Mindfulness modules.
Since the pandemic began Karen has introduced sessions via Zoom in order to teach meditation and mindfulness.
Karen runs a monthly meditation group in her own home on a Saturday morning (Government restrictions allowing) and offers Zoom sessions on a Tuesday evening to support ongoing mindfulness practice.
See Learning for details of courses and one-off sessions.
Wild Sage (Salvia) - The name Salvia derives from the Latin verb salvere ("to feel well and healthy"), referring to the herb's healing properties.
Mindfulness has been shown to improve the way we cope with many different difficulties in life. Research has demonstrated that it is effective for those with chronic pain or long term health conditions, relieving the suffering experienced and improving well-being. For those with stress, anxiety and depression it has been proven to be effective by teaching new techniques and coping strategies, reducing the suffering these conditions cause and also reducing the severity of the conditions. Mindfulness has been recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence for those with depression.
For those who wish to develop their mindful meditation practice, I run a meditation group from 10am to 11:30am monthly on a Saturday morning. See Meditation tab for dates. Please Contact Me for further details.
